I would like to take this time to welcome you all to the 2010 Dolphin Scuba Club Dive Season. At the writing of this letter, the executive as a whole, is working feverishly at preparing a fun, interesting season full of training opportunities, weekend shore dives, and of course, our highly coveted club's weekly dive charter schedule.
Our Activities Coordinator, Kim Sararas, is working very hard to book our ever popular 2-and-3 tank weekend charters. Proteus, Ducks Dive, and Kingston Dive Charters are on her wish list of operators that she is hoping to secure spots for the club over the summer months. Do not hesitate to contact her if you have any suggestions regarding wrecks you would like to see during the season.
Our Equipment Manager and Technical Safety Officer, Jim Mills and Adam Rushton, are busy impersonating the role of "Bob the Builder" times two. These fine gentlemen are currently in the process of revamping the club's gear storage facilities and making our modest facilities more member-friendly.
If additional training opportunities are on your agenda this year, please contact our Chief Instructor Mike Hill. He, along with any of the club instructors, will gladly fulfill all your instructional needs.
If you have yet to hit the water in a while, no need to fret. This year, the club is producing many newly-qualified Divemasters, and will be available to address your needs for a scuba refresher, if you feel the need to attend one.
The executive will remain available to all members who wish to renew their annual membership prior to our Annual Treasure Hunt. Simply contact any member of the executive through the club's website at www.dolphinscubaclub.com, under the "About the Club" tab to set up an appointment. We will also remain available to answer your equipment needs outside of the club's summer hours schedule, if reasonable advance notice is given.
In closing, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding our club's operations and activities at any time. I wish you all a fun and safe dive season, and hope to see you in the underwater realm this year.
