The traditional start to the Club dive season can be called a great success. With 40 people showing up it could be said that this Treasure Hunt might be the largest in recent years.
Twenty divers geared up and hit the water to engage in the yearly hunt for the elusive white spheres. After each of the divers found their prize they returned to the surface with their treasures which were returned so they may be released into the wild again next year.
With the main event completed, everyone bellied up to the grill to gorge themselves on an impressive spread of burgers, hot dogs and salad. And we can't forget the desserts....mmmmm.....dessert.
At the end of the feast a quick but very important emergency general meeting was held to find replacements for our soon to be posted Secretary and Treasurer.
With the business out of the way it was on to the prizes. We had many gifts donated by Dive Tech Training Centre and the Scuba Repair Shop. All of the divers went home with something.
If the turn out for this event is an indication of how active the club will be this year, it should be an exceptional year.
See everyone soon |
